At 365 Response, we are constantly looking for ways to contribute to charity, community, and build on our company values of “doing something good every day” and “caring about what we do and say.” Throughout 2021, we dedicated ourselves to raising as much money as we could for Martin House – a hospice providing vital care and uplifting experiences for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.

This year, to continue our trend of supporting charitable causes that are near and dear to our hearts, 365 Response have chosen to adopt the British Heart Foundation as our newest charity partner. A cardiovascular research charity in the UK, the British Heart Foundation funds medical research related to heart and circulatory diseases and their risk factors, working to shape public policy and raise awareness.

Why the British Heart Foundation?

The British Heart Foundation have a vision of “a world free from the fear of heart and circulatory diseases. A world without heartbreak.” Heart and circulatory diseases still kill 1 in 4 in the UK, causing heartbreak on every street. Seven million people in the UK live with heart and circulatory diseases, and these diseases are responsible for more than a quarter of all deaths.

Alongside their fundraising and notable contributions to medical research, the British Heart Foundation also manage their own online community hub called “HealthUnlocked.” This resource provides a safe space for individuals in need of peer-to-peer support, medical information, or a friendly conversation with people who understand what it means to be affected by a heart condition.

The 365 Response family is no stranger to heart disease, with Chief Executive Officer Brendan Fatchett, unfortunately, losing his father to a heart attack at an early age; a situation that could have ended differently with a faster ambulatory response – this sad reality was a strong influence in the formation of the company and our transport management solutions.

A keen advocate of the charity, Founder Sarah Fatchett, had deeply personal reasons for raising awareness and supporting the British Heart Foundation:

“Both myself and Brendan have had a long and complicated history with heart conditions and the affect they have on loved ones. It’s for this reason that the British Heart Foundation is so close to our hearts. For over 60 years their research, strengthened by donations and support from the public, has helped transform heart attack survival rates. We’re in awe of the research and medical contributions of the British Heart Foundation charity, so much so that we wanted Team 365 Response to do some contributing of its own this year.”

We hope you’ll cheer us on as we navigate another year of fundraising throughout the pandemic. We’d love to celebrate this fantastic charity throughout 2022 by raising as much money for them as possible – wish us luck!
