365 Response began with the aim of improving access to medical care for those that need it the most, through the use of technology to improve patient transport services. As we have evolved and further developed our platform to support complex transport needs, our team is still bringing support to our healthcare services by enabling them to access a wide network of approved and assured transport providers at their fingertips.
One of those providers is Medical Support UK. Established in 2015 by Scott Cassidy (Managing Director) they provide non-emergency and emergency transport services to the NHS and private sector. These services include the transport of blood samples, patient records, medication and well-to-travel patients between hospitals, care homes and home addresses for a number of Trusts including University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay Trust and Lancashire Teaching Hospitals. A recent expansion has seen them deliver patient transport services with a focus on secure mental health transport, providing secure cell units for the most vulnerable patients.
Sarah Adam, Operations Manager at Medical Support UK commented on how the company first began working with 365 Response, “We chose to work with 365 as we have previously had experience of the work they provide. I myself worked for a previous ambulance company and the work was provided through 365. We had an insight from this as to how they worked, and the variety of work provided.”
Medical Support UK believes that patient centred care is a priority, and they strive to provide an environment that puts their company values at the heart of everything that they do. Proud to support the NHS, the team benefits from a friendly service and a variety of work available.
Last year we announced that we had extended our booking support for mental health transport services to 24/7, and it is through the support of providers such as Medical Support UK that we are able to bring this level of care to the Trusts that we work with. The service is dually beneficial, as it not only ensures that NHS Trusts receive the fastest ETA for the best possible price, with the highest level of compliance; it also helps to provide consistent and high quality work for our transport providers.
Sarah shared, “Prior to working with 365 Response we had only just obtained our CQC registration. We worked alongside other Trusts for our Medical Courier service, and 365 were the next step for us in obtaining work for our Secure Mental Health Transport and Patient Transport Service. This has given us the opportunity to work all across the UK with various Trusts, especially the Mental Health Transport Service.”
