365 Response has once again maintained its Cyber Essentials certification, and our assessment for the Cyber Essentials Plus certification is well underway. We undertake these assessments on an annual basis as part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining the highest levels of cyber security.
Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry-supported scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against common cyber-attacks, and 365 Response has held certification for the last 5 years. Our dedicated Compliance team noted that the assessment was much harder this year, as the tests were far more technical than they used to be. This came as no surprise to the team given the current global climate, as the Covid-19 pandemic continues pushing more of us into the digital landscape than ever before, thus exposing both the good and bad of increased reliance on technology. This is why we continue to maintain our Cyber Essentials certifications, to ensure that there is no doubt in our data security or software.
Liz Wymer, Head of Quality and Compliance, upon reflection of the assessment process, stated:
“We are delighted to maintain our Cyber Essentials certification once again! Next steps will include working with Jason, our Head of Solutions Architecture, to re-certify our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, which I hope we will maintain, and show that we are best-in-class when it comes to cyber security.”
Cyber Essentials Plus is a more advanced level of certification and involves a full external audit including an authenticated vulnerability scan. We are now undertaking the work necessary to retain our Cyber Essentials Plus certification, with our Compliance team working hard in the background to ensure we are successful.
As part of the Cyber Essentials Plus certification, a number of devices were remotely assessed by the auditor for anywhere up to an hour. A selection of 365 employees with a variety of operating systems were chosen and will continue to have their technology evaluated throughout the week.
Sarah Fatchett, CEO and Founder, previously shared her thoughts on the importance of maintaining a transparent and rigorous approach to data security:
“Providing our customers and staff with reassurance and confidence that we will handle all data with complete integrity is of great importance to us. We work hard to constantly challenge our ways of working and evolve as necessary with the changing landscape of information security.”
