From Apprentice to Support Developer – Lewis Whittard

At 365 Response, we are a people business. We invest heavily in our people because they make us who we are and we are proud to promote talent within our organisation.

This month we are highlighting Lewis Whittard, who has gone from strength to strength since joining us as an apprentice three years ago.

Lewis’ Story

“I first found 365 Response while attending an apprenticeship scheme for autistic people, provided by specialist autism services in Leeds. I applied for the role as an Apprentice Software Tester through QA Apprenticeships and quickly settled in.”

Lewis continued, “from my first day I could tell that 365 Response is made up of great individuals who are extremely talented and really care about what they do. This creates a great environment to learn and grow.”

Originally joining as an apprentice, Lewis excelled in his role and proved to be a valuable Tester. We were more than happy to recognise his efforts with a permanent role, promoting him to Junior Software Tester after his first year.

The whole team has been keen to support Lewis to grow and progress his career and we have been incredibly pleased to promote him for a third time, advancing him into the role of Support Developer.

Lewis will now move from our Testing team to our talented team of Software Developers, working on mission-critical solutions for our NHS, Local Authority and private customers.

Chris Ibbetson, Director of Development at 365 Response, commented, “we’re really proud of the excellent work that Lewis has done and the progression that he has made in his time with us. We wish him every continued success as he joins our busy and highly skilled Development Team, under the leadership of our Head of Development, Mel.

When asked about his reasons for working at 365 Response, Lewis shared:

“There are many reasons why working at 365 response is great. The work is meaningful and the software we develop has a practical purpose that helps across an array of industries. I am proud to contribute to this.”
